Extremus Riggs BRN 27568, from combination Extremus Indi BRN 21038 x Briarquest Riley BRN 26496, now a fully licensed and operational Police Dog with East Midlands Police Dog Section, top team work :)
A short clip of Extremus Murwi BRN 29651, from combination Extremus Indi BRN 21038 x Rage BRN 26658, meeting Nkosi a #BlackRhino @ Folly Farm Adventure Park andZoo.
BBC Radio Wales were also there to hold an interview of us and the efforts we are going to for #conservation and to learn more about 'Project Murwi' - the introduction of one of our specialist dogs to the Imire: Rhino & Wildlife Conservation Sanctuary, Zimbabwe. With the ever increasing numbers of poaching incidents across #Africa, there has never been a greater or more imperative time to help in the fight against #wildlifecrime. We go to great lengths to acclimatise our dogs to the sights, sounds and smells that they will face once deployed to their specific conservancies. Creating positive associations alongside conditioning a calm state of mind in the presence of these magnificent animals is paramount for her future effectiveness as an operational #AntiPoachingDog. Yesterday 04/07/2016 Extremus Snap, who we supplied at 8 weeks to Thames Valley Police Dog Section was officially licensed and made a fully operational UK Police Dog, well done to her handler, what a team they will make as crime fighters.
Some fantastic news this morning:
Extremus Badak BRN 29647, from combination Extremus Indi BRN 21038 x Rage BRN 26658 has been DNA Tested both Clear and Non Carrier to all 26 breed group genetic based disease markers - FCI Breed Group 1. This is a great testament to what we are trying to achieve with our working litters, absolute health combined with highly capable, multi disciplined working dogs. We intend to continue this trend with all of our future working litters, health is an important factor that many breeders do not even take into account outside of X-Rays. We can categorically state that all of our breeding females and now our working males are at a base level, genetically DNA tested Clear and Non Carriers. #settingthestandard We recently imported Gabber from Holland and managed to purchase him just before he was sold to the Israeli Military, he is from a very strong line bred combination of Bram (P.Sommers) BRN 25552 x Donna (P.Sommers) BRN 22730. As you can see from his conformation he has a very strong influence of Duco II, being heavily line bred on this bloodline. He complements our future breeding programme superbly, he is medical 100% with Hip/Elbow/Spine X-Rays and his DNA upcoming. For further information please get in contact.
Over the weekend I took Jade BRN 27564 over to Holland to mate with Dino (Te Lindert) BRN 23586. I am pleased to say that the mating was a success and we are looking forward to seeing how things develop over the coming weeks, we will wait for the scan before confirming the pregnancy. This litter is going to be one of the best and healthiest litters on the ground in the UK for quite some time.
Extremus Snap BRN 26564, out of combination Extremus Lupa x Extremus Freddie, is now half way through her licensing to become a fully operational UK Police Dog. She will be joining both her mother Lupa who is a already a UK Police Dog and her litter sister Freyja who again is already a fully operational Police Dog.
We were recently visited by BBC Wales News to film a small feature on our work alongside Animals Saving Animals and the fight against poaching. Some of our recent Extremus Indi BRN 21038 x Rage BRN 26658 were featured alongside some of our other working dogs :)
Extremus Havoc BRN 29645, a 7.5 week old male from our recent Extremus Indi BRN 21038 x Rage BRN 26658 litter. Showing strong genetic capabilities at such an early age. He has now left for his new home with Thames Valley / Hampshire Police Dog Section :)
West Yorkshire, Cumbria and Thames Valley / Hampshire Police Dog Sections have now selected their new future Police Dogs, from our recent Indi x Rage Dutch Shepherd litter. I can honestly say this is our best litter to date, the consistency, confidence and genetic capabilities matched with our foundation programme has produced very well indeed, I look forward to seeing how these dogs develop in their new roles.
